Okay so if you’re going to watch know that the first viewing will be a little unsettling and oddly unsatisfying but then it’ll creep up on you and you’ll be thinking about it a lot and then you’ll linger on it and then it’ll appear like out of the mist and you’ll be like “I’m supposed to see this”

I first saw it at an Iranian film festival the year it came out
And I’ve taken every opportunity I’ve been given to see it on the big screen
My daughter absolutely loves Iranian cinema (lucky for me) &we have watched the picture 3 times together
The third time we would pause &discuss at length
