It came from my college roomate's late uncle who moved here from Japan in the late 80s. All those string sets are marked in Yen. There was also a Yamaha SA-700 from '76, but I got that one addressed properly at 12th Fret for the college friend to take.

Those were a lot blurrier than I remember, haha.
I was particularly impressed with how clean and organized the electronics were when I took off the back plate. I need to repair/replace tuners though (at least the b) and would be much happier with a new nut. We'll get there.

I figured you might like to see more :)
Unfortunately the bridge pickup needs repair so I had to replace it short term (and should have swapped covers but didn't so it's shiny and chrome right now instead of aged gold). Vintage 60s fender strap was hiding amongst the case candy too :)

That's a major part of the dating of mine. '72 is the first year for Greco's Sg-600 which is their first set neck SG... And the Maxxon pickups have serials dating to '72 which also happens to be the first year they even put serials on them

Here is another one of Dad's Friends roadsters, you mentioned hand pinstriping - naturally this is hand painted work too - I think the '32 has pinstriping but I don't have a picture of it
