I feel like the parent of a disappointing child.

I thought you were better than this, Firefox. And I wanted everyone else to think so too.

Just wait, they'll soon start blaming snails, and bats, and otters for the reason their cronies are no longer allowed to build on flood plains.

I'll call it here and now - those in the IPAS centre will face more "serious consequences" than those who attacked it.
The recent rhetoric of O'Callaghan, Harris et al has paved the way for this attack, but no-one in media or politics will call them out.
Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan has promised there will be "serious consequences" for those found responsible for the attack

The absolute neck of this fucking gowl to talk about "economic migration" after creating hundreds of thousands of Irish ones by bankrupting the country and then pricing them out of their homes.

Is this the same asylum system that his party/government set up, that both FF and FG have run for years separately and together, that made millions for themselves and their developer pals, that refugees and NGOs have literally protested against for years because the system is not working and cruel.🤔
Tánaiste and Fine Gael leader Simon Harris has said Ireland's asylum seeker system is not working and that the Government should reconsider existing policies "in a very serious way"

I wish, just once, that Irish mainstream politicians would show a bit of intelligence and vision, instead of being so predictably fucking stupid about every single issue the nation faces.
A bunch of pig-ignorant, knee-jerk, reactionary morons, ruining the lives of the most vulnerable.

We filled a complaint against Ireland to the European Commission today.
Ireland has appointed an ex-Meta lobbyist as its new Data Protection Commissioner.
This will be interpreted by the tech industry as a signal of impunity.
The European Commission must intervene.

I'm finding it so hard -not- to reply to the American Exceptionals. There's something fundamentally tragic about it and the impulse to confront them with their mistake feels both important and utterly futile.
Anyway, made this, use it if you're less hung up over it. #speirgorm

Fine Gael had such little respect for the office of the Uachtarán that their top priority for selecting a candidate was "won't cause a by-election if they win". The job isn't worth one TD or senator to them.

But they really don't want anyone else to have it.
Fine Gael going full attack, not bothering to let their proxies do it anymore. #aras25

Science fiction benefits from its repudiation, and the repudiation of Sci-fi is essential to the greatest entries in the genre.
Any sci-fi that could be accepted into a literary fiction cannon would be so much less provocative and interesting than another that couldn't.

Painfully dull move, and additionally baffling considering just how well set processes meat companies are to capitalise on veggie alternatives. Like Keogh's black veggie pudding 🤤 and jeesus wept I couldn't believe what veggies accepted for sausages before Denny's and Clon stepped in with theirs.
