A successful game of thread chicken and a successful gluten free pie crust. Not a bad way to end the day.

I think it needs one more strand going off to the left but it looks so pretty anyway.

Got my uniform on for the day. Pumpkin pie, brownies (Miss 12's preferred Thanksgiving dessert), and maple glazed sweet potatoes on the schedule.

A movie that takes place where you're from.

And now my other hand dyed flosses are a little less chaotic as well.

Finally got another storage box and bins to store my Owl Forest flosses. My eyeballs love how they stack so neatly together.

Pretty sky today in #Michigan.

Our first American hazelnut harvest! We have two bushes mature enough to produce. I couldn't try any (fuck you MCAS) but husband and Miss 12 said they were good. We saved some to plant. My goal is to have an 80 foot thicket of these and wild plums.

Cat for scale.

I've been granted one narrow channel in which to put my feet tonight.

First fire of the season. My couch modifications make it way comfier.

Looked at my barometer app to see if that's why I feel all achy and blah today and what the hell happened this afternoon?

Got the new footstool and its going to have a cat shaped dent in the cushion as it expands because Hammy has claimed it and refuses to leave.

I call those my dashboard days and I hate them. I hope your body can get the rest it needs today.

This is quite the dichotomy, Etsy.

Done with the first color! Started a bit of the next grey on the beak and cheek and am thinking it might be too subtle of a difference to act as a highlight. Will look at it again in the day and reassess. #WIPWednesday

Never did figure out where the error was. I just ripped out all the neck stitches and started over. 7 days of work to fix the mess caused by a single extra stitch.

The Thanksgiving cactus I got last year is blooming!

This one got me. It's so twee and cheerful. If I finish up The Crow before Christmas, I think this will be my next stitch (it'll take me until spring, but whatevs). I'll omit Santa though. I hate Santa. Weird old creeper. I might even skip the Noel and just make it a general wintery stitch.

This is the same year I turned 16 and I'll add:

No Name Kitty and Eddie the Orange. They are not happy with their current situation but aren't hissing or freaking out so that's good. Husband will bring them to the walk in spay/neuter clinic in the morning.

And this is Hank (and Koda.) Hank thought he was a dog, much to Koda's chagrin. Everywhere Koda went, Hank would follow, panting like a puppy. But when Hank passed away unexpectedly, it was Koda who followed him a month later. They're buried next to each other, under a big oak tree.

This is Bean. She was the tiniest, fiercest cat I ever knew. A barn cat we tried (and failed) to make an indoor cat. She wanted nothing to do with people inside, but outside she'd follow us everywhere and scream for pets. Nicknames included Queen Bean and Screamy McBeany. Her real name was Eliza.

footstool and a couple matching throw pillows so I can still stretch out in front of the fire. $180 sounds a lot more palatable than $1000 spent on something that might only last a couple years.

Photo of the wild fabric that's on the sofa which I somehow love.
