The Paul half of Shadow Dancer. Balkan Vinyl / GND / Unknown To The Unknown / BNR / Bad Life / Turbo
Which in turn was paid homage to in…er….the appalling third Naked Gun film

Speaking of scores cues that have been endlessly copied….few qualify like Journey To The Line. Even Zimmer himself has replicated it in other OSTs

Heard this ripped off in so many films & TV dramas. Noticeably only after Denis Villeneuve became a big shot and people suddenly noticed PRISONERS

Oh my. I watched the scene again and am now a wreck

Reading the YouTube comments about people’s individual, personal interpretations of that scene has made me a bit tearful. What a remarkable film

@arpegiator.bsky.social play this loud, I guarantee you’ll love it

And it’s from one of the greatest scenes I’ve “experienced” in a film for decades

Only ever played them once. Kept in polyvinyl sleeves. I’m going to be rich, lads

Nobody rocked a Roland MPC like The Daft Punks

Ah the alt text gives it away

I was just thinking about that. Once lost 9 months of work to that

Ah must’ve been a problem with the analogue to digital conversion then

I had that one too. It was a later model with a long play record option, but it felt cheaper than the older model, and (mine) had worse audio quality….like a weird aliasing or ringing on some recordings

I wonder if there was a big difference in the converters between Sony, Sharp, Teac, Denon, etc. I only ever had Sony MD units & portables (which themselves varied in audio quality)
November 16, 2025 at 7:25 PM
Of course, as part of my midlife crisis, I specifically want the same unit I bought in 1997
November 16, 2025 at 7:23 PM
Lol….just looked into the Hi-MD format and I see blank disks cost £40 each these days

I originally bought it for iPads but increasingly ended up using it as a MIDI hub for my hardware. However, clock sent through it now turns to shit which I guess is a routing conflict….and trying to troubleshoot is such a ball ache
