Tough game, but I'm hoping for a 2 nil win. We all need a lift, recent performances and too many school boy errors are dragging us all down. Back to basics please MC.

Will we make a move for Cameron Archer now?
January 30, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Makes sense. Nice guy, but he's just not good enough
January 24, 2025 at 1:46 PM
Morris getting lots of praise, rightly so. Glover did well tonight, did what was needed and no mistakes 🙌

I agree.

I think my point is that we are just not very good at defending/ preventing chances with our team set up, as much as we used to be.

I'd rather see us get a 0-0 than let a 3 goal slip through poor defence, hence the "minority " fan comment

Just to add. Karankas team was built around keeping a clean sheet. Like most good teams.

The modern game is not built around a solid defence, but "risk and reward'.

Can't compare the teams/eras at all. The whole game and style has changed too much since 2016 and the 'Pep' revolution.

I think I'm in the minority, but I'm not a fan of this "modern" style football. It's good when in possession, but defensively is far too exposed (at all levels)

Interested to learn your view of "modern football" Vic.

My view, its complete utter madness. More risk than reward.

And I am soooooo glad it's biting Pep on the arse right now

I said this after 10 mins of the 2nd half.
Why didn't carrick make some tactical switch at half time, or at least after their 1st goal, to counter their change 🤔
His tactical nativity is what is needed to learn from this game, as well as countless others this season, which is fizzling out quickly

I was more worried about us gifting away a goal, like we seem to do every week. But we looked more SOLid, with Sol in nets.
December 14, 2024 at 8:45 PM
I hope so. But they've got a good team spirit, work hard, and score goals. I do think we have the better squad, but we need to be a lot more consistent

Only enjoyable at the final whistle. Good 3 points, but I thought millwall played well and deserved something
December 14, 2024 at 8:35 PM
Sorry for your loss. He'll have been there in spirit today, cheering the lads
December 14, 2024 at 8:33 PM
They're currently 6 points better than us, with almostbhalf the season over, and have beaten us. So on that basis if they aren't making theplay offs, then we certainly aren't

Sol Brynn. Makes saves, catches crosses and good, quick distribution. Generally brings confidence and calmness to the defence. A refreshing change from Dieng.
December 14, 2024 at 8:19 PM
What was his excuse for Hackney, Azaz, Doak?
December 10, 2024 at 11:55 PM
True. But we already have a better keeper than Dieng sat on the bench
December 10, 2024 at 8:32 PM
He was poor tonight. Hopefully just a one off
December 6, 2024 at 10:51 PM
Agreed with those scores. Conditions didn't help, but we were sloppy in possession too often, more than Burnley

They should put this concept as a vote to all fans .....I'd be more than happy with it, it ticks all the boxes

Too young for Charlton, so it's Rioch for me. What he did with 12 young, mainly local, lads, will never be seen again. Most of them ended up internationals.

Love this. Brings back so many good memories. He was a great keeper, and a Boro legend. Met him too, he's a really nice guy
