📊We analysed 40+ years of bird monitoring data across Europe to ask what explains differences in phenological plasticity across and within 50 songbird species.

🔍 Key insights:

✅ The proportion of juveniles over time can provide reliable estimates of mean laying dates and reproductive success.

✅ Multi-site analyses suggest that 4–5 sampling sessions per season offer a good balance between effort and accuracy.
