It took them too long. Summers helped build the system that led to the 2008 crash and had ties to Epstein. He’s not alone at Harvard—Pinker even aided Epstein’s defense. Hard to see ethics there; these “elites” seem to reward the worst behavior.

2/2 Current “green transitions” follow the same industrial logic as fossil capitalism: resource extraction, centralized control, and short-term profit. Mining for lithium, cobalt, and rare earths, for example, is already creating new ecological and social harms.
