Music, theatre, movies, that sort of thing. I’ll try not to be intemperate. Really.
The small one is a huge fan of the Grinch!

The script having been written with such care otherwise.

If memory serves (and I would have to check this), the scene in M’s office is followed by Lea Seydoux driving Bond’s car with the kid in the back seat, and she says something like “I want to tell you a story about a man named Bond. James Bond.” And credits.

Not by me, I fear. Is the supplied answer to the Bond question correct, by the way? I seem to recall otherwise.

Back working now.

Thanks, Trevor. I had tried it on a couple of different apps, same thing.

I got it when it came out, and wasn’t quite ready for it. But it really got under my skin. I think it’s astonishing now.

They’re amazing, and if Suede wanted something more edgy, I can point them to Brian Gascoigne’s work on Scott Walker‘s Tilt less than a year later.

I didn’t almost get knocked down crossing at a green pedestrian light last week because the driver didn’t see me. It was because the driver thought she could chance her arm running a red light. She thought this, quite accurately, because there is minimal enforcement by An Garda Síochána.

I only dipped into it today, but I’m genuinely impressed. I feared an AI upscale job, but it’s been completely reassembled from top to bottom. I know some people are complaining that the edit is revisionist, but it just feels a bit tighter, and no harm.

Nothing short of vandalism. The River Road is already a nightmare for anyone driving in the morning, and with all the new apartments that will be occupied in the next few years around Ashtown and Pelletstown, increased public transport capacity is the only solution.

He’s already working on Kubrick’s Napoleon, so you never know.

Much as I admire Boorman, I can only imagine it defeating him too.

I think I always loved him, but somewhere between the Mark Cousins documentary and revisiting Chimes at Midnight a few years ago it turned into full blown awe and adoration.

Funny exchange yesterday during student tech rehearsal:
“Oh my God, Emily from the SU got arrested breaking into Shannon Airport and attacking a plane!”
“Why were the SU attacking a plane?”
“No, Emily from the SU!”
“Oh. Yeah, but why?”
