I suspect you are correct, cheers . I'm always concerned about a new initiative but I have been familiar with this since the idea occurred and implementation, so have no concerns. My pharmacist used it to renew prescriptions when I could not get a physician visit in time

I hear you but some people may simply not trust digital records or may fear some irrelevant info may be released ,eg psychiatric disorders when simply trying to get treated at a walk in clinic for a flu , In any event it gives a person control to make their own choices

You made me curious so I checked and patients can withdraw consent for their records to be made viewable through the YourHealthNS app and can request limitations on the use and disclosure of their information by specific healthcare providers.

I assume you are concerned about who can access and the same protocols apply that pertain to any medical records in digital or paper form .And of course a data breach is possible like any electronic medium but I had to go through multiple steps and authorizations to access my own summary

But detailed medical records or in patient reports etc are not available , just summaries only eg codes for conditions diagnosed but complete data on blood tests as they are lab reports
