Reno, NV showed up for #NoKings protest

My very homemade sign for the #NoKings protest tomorrow. If I hadn’t already planned on going, I would have after what happened to Senator Padilla. I’ve already called both my Senators to express my disgust and outrage at how he was treated and asked them what they’re going to do about it.

Interrupting my own doom scrolling with the loaf of sourdough bread I just pulled out of the oven. Do whatever it takes to protect your mental health, especially these days. Props to my quilt instructor who also showed us how to make sourdough bread. Build your community. Keep ‘em close.

I quilt to de-stress & to protect my mental health. I made this quilt for a Ukrainian refugee couple expecting their first baby. I wanted something cheerful & in the colors of their flag. I’ve never met them but want them to know this US citizen welcomes them & wishes them peace & joy. #slavaukraini

Thank you to Indivisible Northern NV for organizing the event today at Rep Mark Amodei’s (NV-R) Reno office. He never holds town halls or talks to his constituents so we went to him and dumped our empty egg cartons outside his office. Lots of support for Ukraine as well. #slavaukraini
