Proxygen 4.0 is now available with client app lookup and helper tool that automatically configures system HTTP/HTTPS proxy for traffic monitoring.

Mac app available at https://proxygen.app and iPhone & iPad apps at App Store.

Here’s the exception as captured by Xcode. I think it has to do with UITableViewCell.backgroundConfiguration but haven’t nailed down the fix just yet.

Interesting… the crash goes away if I remove the sheet presentation from this message view. It could have something to do with how the sheet changed in iOS 26 and 26.1.

I noticed that it takes a moment for the buttons at the bottom to become active, which didn’t happen before.

It was awesome 🔩🚀

Had a lot of fun adding better iPadOS 26 support to Proxygen last night! You can now open messages to their own windows like this.

I don’t get it. Why are there still two x buttons for the search field at the bottom? Both do the same thing. It was so clearly a bug and still there in 26.1.

Me to Claude:
“I'm currently using this code to get the IP addresses of the computer in my Mac app. Is there a more modern way that would only show IPv4 addresses?

let addresses = Host.current().addresses.sorted()”

The one on the left is made with Icon Composer whereas the other is not. Not sure if there’s a way to tell that by looking. Well, at least I’m squircle jail free on the Mac!

I don’t always want my Casio watches to fail. But when they do I want it to be like this.

I don’t have iOS 26 on a real iPad but finally got to play around with Proxygen in a simulator.

That proxy toggle in Proxygen doesn’t look so funny in Liquid Glass anymore, does it? The rest of the OS just followed me drawing capsules around bar button items :D

Maptrails 2025.7 allows adding Garmin IMG files as data layers. For example hunting areas in Finland are freely available in IMG format and this lets you browse them offline while deep in the woods 🌲

Task on HBO is perfection. Quality TV like this is hard to come by these days.

@helge Not difficult to check on Mac. Download from Mac App Store, open .app package and see Info.plist.

Spotify and Telegram latest versions still have DTSDKName earlier than macosx26.0 but WhatsApp is built using Xcode 26 and has UIDesignRequiresCompatibility set to true.

Got to say I’ve been super happy with the Nikon Z6.

It was launched several years ago but is still very comparable to any modern camera and handles exceptionally well. It’s compatible with Nikon’s excellent Z-mount lineup and many others via adapters.

With […]

Pretty glad I’m using my app Maptrails to guide me back. Surprisingly difficult to find the right track between the bushes!

WiiM devices have quite interesting network settings. Things like “5 GHz Only”, “Preferred DNS Server” and toggle for “WiFi Roaming” aren’t the sort of things you’re used to seeing in consumer hardware. Shows that they take this stuff pretty seriously.

Its interesting that during an accelerating enshittification of most apps and services, the Spotify app just keep getting better. Whatever they do over there is working out pretty well.

After a lot of hemming and hawing I finally bought myself a WiiM Pro Plus.

It’s simply brilliant.

It’s got a good app, really nice DAC (with filtering options), auto sensing optical input for TV that has barely any noticeable delay so lipsync with LG OLED […]
