Bugonia: I think I saw a bunch of reviews that said only, "WTAF was that ending" and all I could think was, you didn't see Save the Green Planet, did you?

Saw it tonight.

Interesting in that it keeps the main plot points but is actually somehow *less* cynical and bleak than the original.

I just finished the Mae Martin cult brainwashing/prison school show Wayward on Netflix. And it was OK, but also: how is it that a 100min film can create characters who grow and engage you and still stick a satisfying ending while a miniseries three or four times as long doesn't manage to do that?

Have just been to see Together (Michael Shanks, 2025).

It's a movie with some excruciating, gut churning moments that I could only watch through my fingers. Also, loads of hilarious body horror that made me absolutely *cackle* in glee.

What? Yes, I am all right. Why do you ask.

Last night I was in a room for a showing of Repo: The Genetic Opera (2008). I had never seen it before.

The main feeling was a deep, wounding feeling of insult at the realisation at all the times that I told people I loved Repo Man (1984) and they thought I was talking about *that*. Uuuugh.

I don't share my hobbies here much but recently I have been painting models with artists' oil paints and getting a great deal of pleasure from it. I thought I'd post some.

I'm the sort of person who makes a 1:48 scale model of enforced loneliness and then manages to get it into a gallery.

Well, for those of us who care about the history of the esoteric, this is quite the news.

Looks like the whole library of the California branch of the Theosophical Society has gone up in flames.

"Horrible, deeply dramatic news for anybody who cares about the preservation of Theosophical heritage.

I was just told that the entire property of the Theosophical Society in Altadena near Pasadena has been completely destroyed by the fires in Los Angeles. This was the world's largest archive of Theosophical materials, including a library with 40.000 titles, the entire archive of the history of the TS, including ca. 10.000 unpublished letters, pertaining to HPB, the Mahatmas, W.Q. Judge, G.R.S. Mead, Katherine Tingley, and G. de Purucker, membership records since 1875, art objects, and countless other irreplaceable materials. The archives also contained works of Boehme, Gichtel, donations from the king of Siam including rare Buddhist scriptures, and so on. [with thanks to Reinout Spaink for the information]

This is obviously just one part of an even much larger drama that is currently unfolding, but one that deals a devasting blow to the modern study of esotericism and of modern Theosophy more in particular. It is hard to fathom but it seems to be true."

I'm seconding at my friend Rohan's stand at the Elysium Christmas market here in Swansea. They're an adorable human.

Here's a "gem" from my Satanic Panic collection.
