It’s time for Danielle Smith and the UCP to take personal responsibility for the challenging conditions in Alberta classrooms.

The Alberta Legislature belongs to the people of Alberta. It is supposed to be a welcoming and inclusive place for all.

The UCP is the only government in the country to welcome a performer who preaches hate towards its people onto public land and waste public resources while doing it.

Registrations are open for our better together town Halls in Red Deer on August 27th and in Edmonton on August 28th.

Join our leader, my colleagues, and me for conversations about how we can make life better for all Albertans.

The Premier and Justice Minister are once again trying to politically interfere and pressure an independent decision-maker. Why? To support the separatist base of their party and protect their own party.

They’re not focused on Albertans. They’re focused on themselves.

Again.

The killing of children and civilians - whether through bombs, starvation or terrorism - should devastate us all.

The Alberta New Democrats support the Canadian government’s call on the Israeli government to allow for the sustained and large scale delivery of humanitarian aid.

The separatists have it wrong. Proud Albertans are proud Canadians.

Come join us in a province-wide conversation about why Alberta and Canada are better together. ❤️

Once again, I was so happy to participate in the BAPS Charities Walk and Run here in Edmonton—one of 13 Canadian cities that participated.

This amazing organization raises money for health & education, and environmental & humanitarian relief.

I’d be happy to have you join me next year!

I had a blast at the Canadian launch of the #BeInternetAwesome program at Esther Starkman School yesterday.

1 of 3 schools in #yeg

The dynamic presenters empower kids to be safe, confident explorers of the online world.

It's free! Check it out!

Yesterday, I joined the World Partnership Walk to fight global poverty.

Through the Aga Khan Foundation, the walk raises funds to tackle important issues like healthcare, education, gender equality, and community empowerment.

Many thanks to the volunteers who, once again, put on a great event!

Today we elect a new Speaker for the Leg, so it’s a good time to thank Speaker Nathan Cooper.

His commitment to preserving traditions, while also including more people in them, will be his legacy.

He is also a truly decent and kind person and my kids’ favourite UCP MLA (it’s a pool of one 😂).

The UCP are moving forward with deeply anti-democratic legislation that undermines our right to free and fair elections.

All so Danielle Smith can satisfy right-extremists and fan the flames of separatism.

Albertans deserve better. #abpoli #ableg

At this rate, parents of children with disabilities are going to end up on a waitlist to get information about the FSCD waitlist.

All while their kids continue to live without the support they desperately need. #abpoli #ableg #FSCD

The UCP is too ashamed of their own record to share information with Karen and the thousands of families who are waiting for support... or they simply don't care.

Either way, these families deserve better. #abpoli #ableg #FSCD

Danielle Smith needs to stop showboating her separatism and start showing up for Albertans like the Namazis.

Their family, along with every other Albertan, deserves so much better than this separatist Premier and this self-serving UCP government.

When will Danielle Smith quit being a hater and start working to build consensus and secure deals that benefit Albertans? 🧐
April 30, 2025 at 6:47 PM
All but one Conservative premier responded to the federal election with specific priorities.

Premier Smith had to be the outlier, even if it came at a serious cost to Albertans.

If the Minister of Justice has nothing to hide, he should table the receipts for his Florida trip to the Stanley Cup Finals — flight, ticket, hotel — and show Albertans he paid for it himself!

And while he's at it, maybe he could convince the Premier to call a public inquiry into #corruptcare too!

Albertans are against coal-mining in the Eastern Slopes.

I’m grateful to the ranchers of southern Alberta who invited me to see how the land, air and water they love is at risk because of the UCP’s plans to allow our Rocky Mountains to be mined for coal.

It’s not surprising that Smith read the room wrong on this again.

That’s what happens when you listen more to Trump supporters than Albertans.

And when you’re always acting in your own interests, not Alberta’s or Canada’s.
