I haven't played it in forever but I remember it being suuuper fun, the whole movie theme thing was so cool! i wish games still did that
( last game I remember seeing doing that was shinchan on DS and it was pretty good there too )

the oririginal US localization was done by ubisoft, so i guess sony didn't want to license that

if you like nintendo games play ape escape 2 and 3, it's from when sony was trying to be the cooler nintendo with an edge ( and nintendo was kind of trying to be vg disney )
if you can, avoid playing it from psn tho, it's the 50hz version running in 60 and it feels heavy like an unreal engine game

i'm biased because i played the japanese version in the first or second year of the ps2 and it was the first ps2 game i ever beat, but like, yeah, x7 is not bad at all
I wish it was less floaty and a bit faster and that Axel's copy ability did more damage, but other than that it's pretty fun
