Haruko Sagara did an incredible job realizing Okyo and Sukeban Deka II isn't nearly as fondly remembered without her. Long retired from acting, she's still active on Instagram from her home in Hawaii, and an excellent knitter. And she still looks terrific, with a similar haircut to her Okyo days

As incredible as Yoko Minamino was, carrying a 42 episode load would be too much of a burden for one idol. Enter! Okyo of the Marbles, a street smart sukeban who flings marbles at her enemies and has an edge, but also a heart of gold.

This episode had one of the best looks at dementia and caregiving I've ever seen. If you have a loved one suffering from memory loss, singing songs they might know is an excellent way to engage with them. Really appreciated the effort to so movingly handle this subject.
