I know I'm going to sound insufferable but I reckon I could make coffee (and sandwiches) for about 2 months uninterrupted if the gas and electricity went off tomorrow. Beans, hand grinder, several camping stoves, Kelly kettle, rocket stove, home-made penny stove...insufferable, or addicted. Or both.

Today's harvest. Last gleanings from the apple tree, a load of peppers from one incredibly productive plant that I put in the tunnel as an afterthought, the first cabbage of the year, and 2 mystery squash.

They kind-of ripen but they lack the sugars that being on the plant gives them. I just turn mine into chutney, and give it to people.

Really? That's funny. My current Seiko is water-resistant to 100m but only so I can water the allotment without fretting about it. This was the watch I found. He never came back for it.
