Food security is key to abolition.
At best the cops will use food insecurity to “brand” themselves as “helpers” and at worse they create a barrier to food access & safety risk to community members.

This morning I knew I could choose: breakfast or to harness my energy, jump in my risky car, and take Lizzie for a hike.

I miss the easy crunch of an apple or a handful of nuts.

Every day I make these little choices that remind me of who I am and my place in this odd world of who gets what.
