So probably the best way to play these types of games would probably try to be like a director for the main actor? But is that as emotionally resonant if you don't feel like you're part of the story yourself a little bit? Should it just be a movie at that point?

You have maybe 10 seconds to choose an option. There's a big reveal later in the game that I feel like should've sent Robert over the edge in the narrative, but since his history is just a plot point to me, it's easy just fall into the "logical" choice as a 3rd person watching things from above
