Looking at buying something that you used to buy several years ago really makes it hit how intense inflation has been. I was looking at the 5lb tub of protein powder I used to get back in the day expecting it to be $30-$40 and it's freakin $80

Gotta be honest after streaming on Saturday I'm still not super excited about it. I've been playing a lot of kaizo and streaming for the past several years, maybe the burnout is a little deeper than just being done with the My Favorite Things grind

Hey anyone deep frying your turkey, even if you think it's completely thawed just turn the flame off for 30 seconds while you drop it in the oil. A hot oil spill is much less bad than a 5 gallon grease fire explosion

It's fun to show off the cool old coin designs, but there are also regular looking coins like the Washington quarter and Roosevelt dime. The top two are about $13.50 worth of silver that someone could easily spend as $0.35 if they don't know to look out for coins dated 1964 and earlier

Kleenex is always the first thing people say for "brand names that people say as the generic term" but I think Kleenex is trying to pull a fast one because most people I've met just say tissue

I probably over paid for this but I've never seen a half dime in person before and I'm on vacation so decided to go for it. Not that it was absurdly expensive, just a whole lot more than the actual silver value in the coin

This is the dumbest possible post to get attention lol. Couldn't have been any of my posts about setting the world record in a crushingly difficult video game that ended up with 40 likes and 12 comments, it had to be the one where I whine about the line for a rental car
I recognize that this is a very privileged problem but there were like 30+ employee terminals but only 3 people working at Avis for our rental car. We got in line behind ~20 people and it took like an hour and a half

First time beating Sanctuary on CHIMPS mode in BTD6 and ended up with over $50,000 left over. The Bomb Blitz tower is absurdly strong after this past update. I saved up over $70,000 before I needed to buy another strong tower in the early 90s which is bonkers on this kind of map

I heard that spotify is running ads for ice and there's a boycott, I've had premium for years but intend to cancel. Any recommendations on an alternative app? I've heard Tidal is good for music but they don't seem to have any podcasts or audiobooks which is the main thing I use spotify for
