Delighted to receive confirmation the Department of Transport has given approval to award the Coonagh to Knockalisheen Distributor Road Project to Wills Bros Ltd. The €31m contract will resume after construction was previously halted following Roadbridge going into receivership.

Delighted to share I’ve started a new Network Communications Officer role with Sport Ireland at Limerick Sports Partnership. Looking forward to working with the 29 Local Sports Partnerships across the country helping promote their fantastic work getting us physically active in our communities.

RIP Barbara Taylor Bradford, I remember discovering A Woman of Substance. We will never quantify sufficiently the contribution of Barbara and her contemporaries who wrote strong, ambitious female characters for young girls/women readers, when few elsewhere were championing this picture of a woman.

It is shocking to see footage from the flooding in Abbeyfeale in County Limerick from Storm Bert overnight. My thoughts are with those homes and businesses affected, as well as the sports grounds at Fr Casey’s GAA Club and Abbeyfeale United.
Abbeyfeale a short while ago, thanks to local councillor Liam Galvin.

Also very interesting how the reduction in childcare costs hasn’t come up at all in vox pops. Ours cost more than one salary before the last election, it’s a lot less now.
