Agree, recently watched it as well. I remember seeing the novel on the desk of my 4th grade teacher and my fascination with it. Movie came out two years later and I don’t remember seeing anything about the release. Of course that was the summer of “Empire strikes back”, so….

Since you mentioned Tamiya….
It probably isn’t fair because the molds date back to the late 60’s, but this was bad beyond that. The plastic itself was thin and splintered with sanding. Then again, it was cheap for a reason.
