Maybe start setting up groups and organizing, signing up for any groups anyone started, and then actually going out to do things those groups set up.

And the gun range was far more open, with, y'know, wind and weather. At 200 yards my tiny Chinese wife still easily killed the target with a bolt action.
She then refused to use any of the 'big ones' ever again because of the recoil.
This shot....isn't hard. I am not a marksman.
