I would rather pay taxes and have government services across the nation that are necessary for everyday living. Such as infrastructure, Weather monitoring, military, education, financial, and so much more we take for granted.
Just make it fair taxes for everyone. Middle class has the burden now.

A heated mattress pad works great too. I have 3 snuggled up against me each night. Some times four if they are feeling gregarious and not squabbling.

They are paid by taxpayers. We pay them out of our taxes and the tariff tax. We need to insist that there is a certain standard for their job. No masks, Proper ID, No unnecessary force, plus other concerns. Write your reps and senators. Squeaky wheels get the grease. Silence only encourages them.
