Did we NEED more context for *why* Khan hates Kirk so much? No, absolutely not. But goddamn, next time I see Wrath of Khan, the sheer *intensity* of his hatred in this scene is gonna hit slightly differently for me now

Star Trek: Khan - Firstly, Naveen kills it as Khan. Straight up. I was skeptical of The Big Turn but they execute it very well and use it to make one real heart stab of an ending. Definitely adds a nice new layer to Khan as a character that'll color future viewings of WoK for me

Predator: Badlands - Really enjoyed this, thought Dek was a very compelling lead and I appreciated how much of the story was framed through his worldview. Thia could easily have sunk the movie but Fanning played it perfectly imo. Climax had me hooting lmao. Yeah pretty good time

Sis has always been curious about Mass Effect but she's not a gamer so I'm at the controller while she makes all the choices. Kinda uncanny how well she was able to recreate herself in the character creator

Predator 2 - Hahaha. Delightfully insane time capsule of the year 1990. So many decisions are almost alien nowadays but I was hooked lmao. Loved too how oppressive hot/sweaty LA is in this, really set the mood. Fun use of the setting too (the subway scene!)

Predator - Well, this was a perfectly oiled machine of a movie. Doesn't lag, gets you right to it, establishes Dutch & co, big action scene up front before the game of cat and mice begins, could make a genuine case for this being THE 80s movie.

Tiny detail in the final season of Discovery i like is that a Soong Type Android briefly shows up and no one really remarks on his existence being novel at all, which I personally am interpreting as meaning that they did end up becoming an actual race for lack of a better term
