Weird not having live tv on the day when more people are watching football than on any other day of the yr. Equally weird is how little i miss it. Live tv and football were both such a huge part of my life for 40 years, but not so much the last 15. Not a conscious choice as much as it just happened.

I remember my surprise upon realizing James Avery was in The Stunt Man, a movie i had watched over and over since i was 13. He's uncredited despite having two lines, but they made an impression on baby me. Many yrs later i was watching it and thought, "OMG, it's Uncle Phil!" He's in the first 5 min.
