Not entirely sure what the name of this is, but Suus made it. So with a potato crust, some form of vegetable filling, and the pretty zucchini, this is as close to I'll get to a Thanksgiving plate this year.

It's pretty damn good.

No Noirvember is completely with some Humphrey Bogart, so time to catch another pairing with him and Lauren Bacall with DARK PASSAGE (1947)

Anyways, I can't believe I lived my life not having seen THE LONG GOODBYE (1973) until now. Had no idea that Ron Perlman basically riffed his Hellboy performance on Elliot Gould's interpretation of Philip Marlowe.
An easy, breezy 70's hangout film, with a motormouth Marlowe-

Gonna be showing up a lot this next week talking all things PREDATOR: BADLANDS as well as spreading my gospel of a certain other Dark Horse film in this franchise.

I'll see you star side.

"I think, therefore you are."

The closest Carpenter ever came to doing full blown noir. Funny that last week his status as a "great director" was being litigated when in one of his best films, he takes the piss out of himself, his work, and still gets under the skin.

Now seated for that sweet, sweet 4K restoration of John Carpenter's IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS (1995)

A few small beers, and some Mexican before the movie.

Had the absolute pleasure of knocking off a first time watch in the theater last night with a 4K restoration of SHOWGIRLS (1995).

While there are many modes to view the film, I think the best version is where it acts as a satire and send up of the American Dream.
I loved it.

Whose the best producer in the podcasting space?

Very happy to help coordinate this. Hope you all enjoy.

Three movies deep after ENDS with TRICK R' TREAT and COBWEB.

A little party with pumpkin soup, bruschetta, cheese-stuffed mummy peppers, chips, sweet potato pie, and hot buttered rum.

You think she likes scary movies?

The time has come to put Suus and I's relationship to the test. Before the party begins, it's time for her to see if she is indeed a Corey Head.

HALLOWEEN ENDS (2022) is now playing.

"The Shit"

Knocked off a horror anthology blindspot with TALES FROM THE HOOD (1995), and there isn't a single weak story in this from the 4 shorts, to the wrap around. Forever relevant in regards to its social commentary, but not without it's charm and camp to lighten the mood.

Was gonna post pics from Sitges, but instead I figured I'd post my favorite pics of Suus from the last month.

On the heels of watching Del Toro's latest adaptation later tonight, I gave Kenneth Branagh's 94' FRANKENSTEIN a whirl. And while it's very clearly inspired by the 92' Dracula, it most certainly isn't that for better or worse.

Prepping Suus for Halloween Ends by getting her caught up David Gordon Green's HALLOWEEN (2018).

Time to see if The Shape still packs a punch on her psyche.
October 24, 2025 at 6:01 PM
Showed Suus A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS & she thought it was great.

It's also where she taps out until NEW NIGHTMARE because Ole' Krueger's humor was starting to grate on her nerves.

There's no accounting for taste, so it seems I must journey through 4-6 alone.
