There were two characters that I remember my Mom's reaction to when I first watched with her: Veda Pierce and that psychotic little brat, Tootie, from MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS. I can't print what Mom said about Tootie, but it made my Afro catch on fire. (Margaret O'Brien's character ruins that movie.)
