i've been playing Plants Vs Zombies: Replanted and i just found that one of the zombie costumes you can enable is a fucking Half-Life headcrab (a direct reference to their hosts also being called zombies). i was so worried EA would bungle this release but so far i'm having a great time

it's not by any means unique to be able to listen to new music on an old device, but i will forever get a kick out of being able to see stuff like the 2025 @cheekface.bsky.social masterpiece Middle Spoon on an iPod from 2005, and have it not just work but be actively supported

the spatial image feature on iOS 26 is honestly pretty neat. here's the classic Autumn wallpaper from Windows XP, turned into a 3D wallpaper on my iPad. gives the lock screen some flavor. it's actually very impressive how well it gets the depth of the path and individual branches in parallax
