This presents an interesting opportunity for #Europe to step up it's game with a different vision for building #technology

Resistance and criticism of #AI and the companies behind it is mounting in the US (see also www.economist.com/united-state...)

Finally some recognition for a conflict that has been brewing for a while and has been noted early on by social scientists: the political ramifications of #DigitalTechnolgies are long overdue for a reckoning.

Or put more simply: #BigTech got too greedy and it will blow up in their faces.

Es braucht in der Schweiz DRINGEND eine aktivere Debatte um #Digitalpolitik die auch endlich aus dem reaktiven Modus herauskommt und versucht, Entwicklungen proaktiv zu antizipieren!

y two cents: wie leider so oft in der Schweiz, lieber spät als gar nicht. Aber es ist schon bedenklich, dass der Bericht ende 2025 erscheint in Antwort auf ein Postulat von 2022 während ich und viele andere bereits 2019 auf die Bedeutung des Themas hingewiesen haben (und das war schon spät).

Allerdings fehlt es an Risikoanalysen und geeigneten Massnahmen identifizierte Risiken zu managen. Diese sollen nu durch eine interdepartementale Arbeitsgruppe erarbeitet werden.

Neben einer Definition für Digitale Souveränität - angelehnt an internationale Debatten und kompatibel mit dem Whitepaper der Swiss Data Alliance - hält der Bericht positiv fest, dass man eine gute Übersicht über genutzte und angebotene Ressourcen habe.
