To expand the Supreme Court, Congress needs a simple majority (plus the President's signature) to pass a statutory change, but a much harder constitutional amendment requires two-thirds of both House & Senate, then ratification by three-quarters of states,

RFK, Jr. isn’t wrong about breast milk. It is more naturally nutritious than man made powered formula.

Problem is many don’t have long enough paid maternity leave, if they have paid maternity leave, to breastfeed their babies.

Are Sean Duffy and RFK, Jr. expecting the elderly and disabled to chin-ups before getting on their planes? No chin-ups, no getting on the plane?

Translation: Trump nor Republicans have a healthcare plan.

Concepts, notebooks of ideas but no plan.

Didn’t Nick Fuentes get caught watching gay porn on one of his live podcasts? I seem to remember a story about that a few months ago.

As the middle child, ever since I was a young child I had always been accused of doing things I never did, much less thought of doing and at times being used as the scapegoat by various family members.

Now that I’m in my 50s, that hasn’t changed.

Been seeing some posts of people questioning when did “mum” become “mom” and what do British people call potato chips.

People need to understand that in the US we don’t speak English. We speak American-English. The English, or Brits in England, speak English.

Oh, those knee-jerk reaction posts. Though I haven’t been to a movie theater since 2002, ticket prices averaged about $16. Last time I saw a movie in the theaters tickets were under $10.

The last movie I watched in a movie theater was The Phantom Menace. That was back in 2002.

I always thought theaters were kept too cold. People talking throughout the film. Telling of the storyline before it happened on screen, people kicking the back of the seats.

Something to think about. The head of the FCC is appointed by the president. Not elected, who is then confirmed by the Senate. Brendan Carr was confirmed back in January.

MTG says that Republicans make fun of Trump behind his back. And none of them, MTG included, don’t have the spine or cajones to do so in his presence. Don’t have the stones to stand up to him, defend the US Constitution nor tell him no.

I’m not a Gavin Newsom fan. I do like some of the things he has done, policy wise. He is not my first choice nor second. Should he win the nomination for president, he will get my vote because I choose less evil.

FYI: Because apparently some didn’t know this.

Medicare premiums have gradually increased since the 1970s.

“You ate a piece of fried chicken and an egg roll for breakfast?”

Retired, 3rd shift ER RN. I don’t normally have a beacon and egg breakfast. When I would get home from work, way too exhausted to cook, I would eat whatever was left over from the night before. That habit has been difficult to break.

It’s amazing to me how some are shocked…SHOCKED…That Medicare premium is increasing. It increases every year as does COLA. Most often COLA cancels out the Medicare premium because the COLA increase covers the Medicare premium increase.

I have to explain this every year to my elderly Aunts.

Finishing up Victoria on Netflix. Saw some posts of people complaining that the series was only 3 seasons long. That they would have liked to see how Victoria’s life went after Albert’s death and until the end of her reign.

Backpedaling. Those who posted that John Fetterman quit say it was a joke and that Fetterman says he is not running for reelection. Fetterman has not said, as of this post, if he is or is not running for reelection. There is speculation if he will.

Will John Fetterman run for reelection in 2028?
The freshman senator seems to be leaving all doors open, insiders told NOTUS: reelection, retirement, and even a long-shot run for president.

I checked checked. John Fetterman did not quit Congress. People seem to be spreading misinformation Fetterman wrote in his memoir that he should have quit campaigning for the Senate after he had suffered a stroke just 4 days before the primary. He did not quit Congress
