These people sound like Louise Mensch saying the "Marshal of the Supreme Court" would arrest Trump.
December 2, 2025 at 6:12 AM
That's insane. Violating Hegseth's Constitutional rights would NOT convince Republicans to do anything but win every election going forward from that.

And he *may* be the original source for what we're learning about that September 2 boat strike. I doubt we'll ever hear from him directly, though, if he doesn't want to ring-and-run.

Yep. CNO Adm. John Richardson dismissed charges against Portier, who was implicated in helping to cover up Gallager's (pardoned by Trump) crimes. Lot of top cover going on there...

I would prefer someone like Admiral Alvin Holsey NOT retire but stay and do the honorable thing: refuse illegal orders. If forced out, speak out.

As a former member of the military, I'd say a volunteer force is a net positive and members deserve respect. Screening out the nut-jobs should be high priority, but would conflict with recruitment quotas. Not sure what the solution is, but surely, responsible commanders and elected leaders is TOPS.

A lot of structured professions, (military, police, etc.) attract some pretty bad actors, who thrive in authoritarian environments, especially if *they* get the chance to 'dish it out.' Ever notice how may militia members are former military or law enforcement types?
December 2, 2025 at 3:33 AM
That assumes they are not in agreement with Hegseth's approach. Believe me, many of them are and are more than happy to finally be allowed to be the "lethal warriors" they always wanted to be. Trump enables that culture, as evidenced by his pardoning Eddie Gallagher.

"May be more likely" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

The only ones I have sympathy for any enlisted folks who get thrown under the bus. Their oath is different and it's not at all likely most of them understand if an order is illegal. Officers know better AND have not sworn to obey POTUS.
December 2, 2025 at 3:26 AM
Perhaps--& I hope you're right. Given that Bradley HAD to know what he was doing, my guess is that he & many others in the military cannot be counted on to follow the law. Do you think Hegseth is the only dude-bro here? Sadly, there is a sizeable contingent of servicemembers who think like Hegseth.
December 2, 2025 at 3:07 AM
Do you think Bradley didn't KNOW he was doing something illegal? Whether he issued the illegal order or just followed it, he was clearly all-in on violating his oath.

Bradley almost certainly will be pardoned, assuming he even gets held accountable. There is no 'under the bus' scenario here.
December 2, 2025 at 3:03 AM
No, he willingly got under the bus.
December 2, 2025 at 2:58 AM
Hegseth is trash and should be run out of D.C on a rail, but Bradley either issued or obeyed an illegal order, period. He chose to break the law and violate his oath.
December 2, 2025 at 2:57 AM
Yes, sorry. I did see that clip where you addressed that! Do you agree that whatever happens to Hegseth, ADM Bradley issued or obeyed an illegal order? What's likely to happen to him?
December 2, 2025 at 2:33 AM
I dislike the narrative that Bradley is being thrown under the bus. He either issued an illegal order or obeyed an illegal order. Whatever negative consequences he experiences--if any--are wholly a result of him not following the law and his own oath.
December 2, 2025 at 2:27 AM
Do you think the very best we can hope for is that Hegseth will get fired? Seems unlikely anyone will get court martialed for this, given the corruption in this administration. What's the over-under that the DOD/DoW 2nd in command may be getting promoted soon?
December 2, 2025 at 2:22 AM
ADM Bradley either issued an illegal order himself or obeyed an illegal order, in violation of law, UCMJ, etc. He CHOSE to throw HIMSELF under the bus.

I bet that's why those Democrats made the video--this incident was likely already known in D.C., very possibly courtesy of the out-going SOUTHCOM.

He is!
