Admiral Mitch Bradley either issued an illegal order or obeyed an illegal order, full stop. Pretty sure this is part of what motivated @captmarkkelly.bsky.social and the others to make that video. However, Trump will pardon Hegseth and possibly Bradley as well, so no one will be held accountable.

Hell YES.
Seems like a good time for the Speaker of the House to swear in Rep. Grijalva.

Wowsa. Journalist @janemayer.bsky.social, who broke the story on Hegseth in the @newyorker.com just said on @maddowblog.bsky.social that since the story broke, her phone has been ringing off the hook with more people calling who witnessed Hegseth’s extreme drunkenness.

Before we even get to the obscene absurdity of trying to put Kash Patel in charge of the FBI, there's an equally important detail:

Trump ousting an FBI director without cause — again — is its own scandal. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...
Why Kash Patel shouldn’t (but might) be confirmed as FBI director
The idea of Donald Trump and Senate Republicans putting Kash Patel in charge of the FBI isn't just wrong. It's also dangerous.

I'm sure this will outrage those who claim Trumpism somehow represents a reaction/backlash against the military industrial complex
Scoop: Trump offered billionaire investor Steve Feinberg the job of deputy secretary of defense, per sources, awarding the No. 2 job to a financier with investments in companies that maintain Pentagon contracts. No word yet if Feinberg accepted

What a crock! If he'd said, "I have been sober for X time" it would still not make him qualified. But he's *still* drinking? AYFKM?

Carville is on television right now, talking about how much of what Trump is doing with his nominations is just driven by resentment and if you don’t get that, you’re missing the core issue here.
Yep.

Joni Ernst wants the Defense Secretary job for herself, of course—but the fact that she's stepping out so publicly against Hegseth tells me he doesn't have the votes. There's a very real chance Trump could lose two of his original cabinet picks... and more to come (Tulsi, RFK.)

The reason the coup attempt in South Korea failed as quickly as it did is because South Koreans immediately rushed to the streets to say “we won’t let you do that” and force the military to decide whether they’d shoot their fellow citizens or not.

Important for us remember over the next 4 years.

The problem with pardoning Smith and his team is that they have done nothing remotely criminal. Suggesting even the possibility that they have by pardoning them would be a tremendous stain on their honor and reputations. Despite the hell they may be facing, I’d bet they don’t want it.

No. Pardoning someone who has not even been charged with a crime is really stupid. Biden just made it easier for Trump to pardon convicted criminals. Trump was/is going to do it anyway, but now there is no possible argument to be made against that, because Biden effectively removed it.
Biden should keep going with his pardons: Trump, Jack Smith & team, Mueller & team, and a blanket pardon for all on Trump’s enemies list for any and all political statements before December 25, 2024! Merry Christmas:-). Take the wind out of retribution/revenge!

But, if you apply to be Director of National Intelligence, you don't?
