Changing my vocabulary to not refer to others as pet owners, but instead to call them keepers or handlers or companions. Treating animals as objects just serves to diminish their rights and importance. A dog should not be considered legally the same as a chair or a lawnmower.

First snowfall of the year and I manage to slip and injure myself while still inside. Nothing broken, at least.
It hurt like the dickens, and I won't be getting anywhere fast, but at least I've got these crutches, a splint, and a tiny turtle to keep me on the recovery path.

One more point of trauma to my right ankle, I stepped down about three feet and landed sideways on it. I can walk, so it can't be too bad, but dang dude that ankle can't catch a break.

the whole "don't play the game, just watch a video on youtube that will explain its story to you" is so disheartening because the issue of accessibility is genuinely really important but it's always just people who want to be spoon-fed nicely quantifiable information
