I was maybe 10 or 11 when I read this, and as was the case for many books recommended to me by my parents, there were a lot of things their brains seemed to have glazed over over time.
The Valley of Horses by Jean M. Auel This is, in fact, a sequel to The Clan of the Cave Bear, which I did not read until a couple of years later, so I'm at least grateful that this one came first. If you know, you know.

I do think its an internal bias we have here. Its very impressed on us at the antenatal classes hosted by the hospital itself that any medical intervention has a cascade effect that can mean more serious things down the line. We are to avoid it as much as we can! And for good reason, i feel.

I dont know how to describe my expression, i guess im kind of pouting but its really not a pout. Pink chair behind me, blue dress on but you can only see the sleeves.
