I've been heartsick since last November. Women are treated as less than human, LGBTQIA & Trans individuals are targets, people with any sort of disability & anyone whose skin is not pasty white are not safe at all. I've burst into tears frequently at the cruelty.

I agree. I think Americans are more than capable of creating a better system of government, a kinder society & a legitimate social safety net. However, it will take brutal honesty, rejecting the "all for oneself" attitude & embracing community. We all need to work on those things, to be honest.

I wouldn't trust her as far as I can throw her & I'm sure she is trying to position herself for the post-trump power scramble. I plan to watch what she does, not what she says. I get the feeling, however, that she might have some 1st-hand knowledge of this issue. Could be wrong but it's possible.

Honest to god, there's only a small % of Canadians who want anything to do with the US anymore. The rest of us are just completely done. I'm all for diversification, sourcing better products & dealing with reliable partners. No one can ever trust them again.
