Jamaicans are resilient, but the impact has been absolutely devastating. My wife and our family with the help of friends and coworkers just sent over a ton of food supplies and medical equipment on Sunday. Anyone who wants to send goods, the Jamaican government has lifted the duties on relief.

Nobody is excusing anyone, hatred is hatred. But don't tell me that me not liking x because of y is THE SAME as there being laws, government agencies, policies in every community and school and workplace and an entire hegemony to support hatred. They are not the same.

I think both can be true. If there were a clear #1 it would serve them to prioritize one driver and the other can help with strategy. They spent so long taking points off each other.

I don't know that it serves us (non oligarchs) to think of working class as a real thing anymore. The folks at the top have so much and the 99% have to work so hard (or be so lucky) as to make feudalism look appealing. Everyone who is not controlling capital is in the same boat, relatively speaking.
