Probably not a flower.

Trans woman. Compulsive reader.
Which part of the mediocre, environmentally devastating, wasteful, insanely expensive, plagiarizing, hallucinating, suicide-baiting epistemological crisis do you imagine we're willing to accept?

Typical British lib - finds a way to blame a trans person for whatever made up bullshit he's chosen to be angry about today.
November 24, 2025 at 6:42 PM
It does that? I've got 675k words in a Scrivener project and the only issues it has are the normal Scrivener bugs.

To be clear, I was a teenager elsewhere on the West Coast at the same time, and we all basically spoke a variation of California-inflected slang at the time, so I'm not just basing that on one person.

It'd be silly if anyone did. The American English in WYFFH is fine? One of my closest friends in college was a teenager in San Diego in the same time period and I haven't noticed anything off.

It's right there in the text! Would Nichole go around claiming to be a cis man if she wasn't one? I think not!
November 23, 2025 at 3:32 PM
No, see, the correct use in American English is 'in debt'!
November 23, 2025 at 11:25 AM
'I'm going to university' is perfectly valid American English. You just don't hear it often because that use of university is anachronistic.

Also partially because in American English university implies an institution that has graduate studies and college doesn't, I guess.

Somewhere out there is a trans kid who doesn't know if they have a future. You're the proof that they do. And you need to be here so they can believe that.

Oh, you're imperfect? You've got flaws? Fucking good. That kid needs to know they don't need to be perfect to have a future.

But, of course, if you were a serious person who actually wanted an answer, you wouldn't be insisting on receiving on in 240 words, now would you?
November 18, 2025 at 3:10 AM
It's very easy when you are an unserious person who doesn't want an answer, to imagine that 'prison' is any mechanism of separation from society, when prison is, in point of fact, a specific form of separation from society built on the total control of its subjects.

>I'm pretty sure it would have made the news in Berkeley in 2015

That's... Adorably naive.
November 18, 2025 at 3:00 AM
You do realize that's already a thing, yeah?

Like, do you think your police and jails protect us from the psychos who decide our existence justifies violence? Because if so, that's fucking adorable.
November 18, 2025 at 2:58 AM
So the argument here is that some grunt will get mad and hurt Chad for hurting his feelings... And that makes the US military effective at occupying foreign nations?

Interesting hypothesis, I guess?
November 16, 2025 at 8:29 PM
According to my notes your 'by far the strongest military in the world' is zero for three in successful occupations, buddy.
November 16, 2025 at 8:22 PM
Which is weak, yeah. But until you see how much of the political project of capitalism is about the ability to get away with rape and abuse, you won't actually understand why this all travels hand in glove.
November 14, 2025 at 11:31 AM
At some point, 'It's Tahani time!' has become the game mocking me as she announces herself for the fifth free daily in a row.
November 13, 2025 at 12:11 PM
It's baffling that they think the case for 'keeping phones out of classrooms is good for educational attainment' is so weak that they feel the need to use the victim of a hate crime to justify their policy.
November 11, 2025 at 12:03 PM
When it comes to murderous transphobia? Just about any British news publication. Or your party's leadership, really.
November 11, 2025 at 11:18 AM
I assume they also intend to fold on every single anti-trans provision in the Republican shit bill?
