SOUTHCOM is the combatant command responsible for the entirety of South America. The Joint Task Force (JTF) is managing a smaller portion of that space as a subordinate unit. Both are joint commands, composed of individuals and units from multiple services.

The president has sewn the wind, and innocent people will reap the whirlwind.

He deployed the guard, he attacked immigrants. He demonized countries like Afghanistan.

All of these were intentional choices that have gotten more people hurt. I fear it won't be the last.

I think "Things to Get Me" might be the winner. Make a list and family can reserve a gift without creating an account. We'll see if that is too much for family to manage.

I cannot imagine how shitty it would be to get assigned this investigation. But it will be a real test of the actual commissioned officer loyalty to the constitution.

They have taken a hypothetical "don't follow illegal orders" and turned it into a concrete case of potentially illegal orders.

I'm an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran against this bullshit.
US operations against Venezuela to begin within days.

Covert ops the first move.

There is likely an overlap in American Bonsai today that highly skilled and professional are highly correlated. There is probably also a correlation with skilled professionals who were trained in Japan.

In previous eras I would think about an Amazon wish list. But I'd rather not these days.

There are a whole host of economic and social factors that might prevent a skilled amature from becoming a professional or allow a lower skilled practitioner to make it given the right conditions.

Skill is in fact on a different axis. There are highly skilled amateurs and hobbyists. They make great work (in any field), but don't choose to make a living on it, or might not be able to make a living doing it.

I tend to think of a professional as a title that denotes your ability to make a living. If you can do enough work at high enough quality and consistency that you can do it as primary employment, then you are a professional.

I hear him articulate what might be called a certification standard of professionalism. More like doctors or lawyers, you must have these skills to be considered professional, and the collective of professionals has a role in determining who can claim that title.

Wait until they read enough history to discover where we got the USCGC Eagle, it'll be their favorite boat.

If it works we have no shortage of volcanos around here.

I think this might be the solution to my accent plant problem. I picked some sea grass down by the sound and brought it down to a reasonable height. I think it gives the tree both a sense of place and season.
