Saltier than cinema popcorn. Views, boosts, etc. my own, don't blame them on anyone else.
When people become emotionally invested in a con, it's more psychologically devastating to a lot of people to admit they've been cinned than it is for them to keep investing everything in defending the conman.

And for some of them, it's an actual cult. They've built their identity around him.

Every single drunk driver is utter scum.

Hi to your mum!

Given that it's for a bereavement it will be neither, but thank you for the good wishes anyway, they're appreciated. 😑

Hmm.

I can't respond for a while, I'm about to go offline for a day or two - too much going on right now - but we should talk. I *might* be able to help.

Exactly. For example this gem from 1999 is now returning as Starmer policy.

Imagine Winston Churchill suggesting Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazis need to hand over all their jewellery so Winston can give tax cuts to Henry Ford, an American billionaire white supremacist.
Taking asylum seekers jewellery is a hardy Labour trope.

In 1999 Mike O’Brien MP immigration minister proposed legislation to take asylum seekers valuables worth over £2,000.

Asked if that meant taking asylum seekers jewellery in committee he said, ‘that is exactly what we will do’

You can accomodate right-wing overt antisemites, but definitely not students protesting genocide. What a fascinating "big tent" you have. 😒

I have to confess, my wishes for him were a great deal less benign.

So at one point I actually had to deal with a man who said, in all seriousness, that the fact that it happened to so many people over so many years means it's just normal, that women evolved for that, women were used to it, and we're making a big deal out of nothing.

Yes, it's "radiofreetom" - and he's doubling down on, by picking small accounts that are having a go at him, and quoting them to mock them.

What's wrong is that your dreams are shaped by the world around you.

It's not a problem with you. It's a problem with the world around you.

We wanted a Labour PM not another Tory one pandering to Reform

Trying to appease people that wouldn’t vote Labour under any circumstances, while throwing away votes from anyone to the left of the Tories. Make it make sense.

Frankly, I understand why they don't trust the federal government on this. I would be bitterly disappointed but not in any way surprised to see the BLM opening it up for mining in a few months.
