Down the board game rabbit hole!
Thanks so much for posting the update, it's fascinating how quickly the industry has progressed. Great to hear it was very motivating for you.

I loved that the original Pebble nailed everyday usefulness and long battery life. With the new Pebble, will that be your goal? Do you have new aims?

Good question! Hard to pick A game, but I do think Matt Dunstan's games frequently go under the radar, and Grail Games is going through a renaissance at the moment.

Go ahead and tantalise is with an Essen release. I only hope the rest of us in Australia can get it before next Essen.

Hi I'm Richard aka norkle. I'm an Australian board game junky since my children begged we attend a local club in 2009. Sometimes I go a bit over the top waging the flag for Aussies kicking goals in the industry. Will try any game, my interest is more about what brings joy to the people I play with.

Today Bluesky proved its worth. I had no idea of The Cure's new album.

In El Grande everyone starts with the same hand of cards to bid for actions with, and you can never play what someone else has played. So simple, yet feels like it's own game of deciding your level of agency in the game.

Cribbage: what you discard will be scored by the dealer. Hate to give points away, but in hindsight if you made the wrong decision, you only have yourself to blame. Also, incredible highs and lows from that simple choice.

Wow, did Tony teach this? My eyes are going to water now, every time I see this game.

I love this photo highlighting IKEA's goal with Kallax: blend LEGO and vinyl.

I've frequently wondered if IKEA stole their Kallax designer from LEGO. This innovation seems like further evidence (or their designers are 8 year olds)

It's definitely an aspect hidden within the industry. I'm always fascinated by game development, the practice varies wildly.

Fascinating to get a peak into the design process. The cardboard crafting is first class too.
