I think it’s a pretty decent environment for shy people too, because you only have like 15 mins in between sets to chat so as long as you can ask whoever is talking to you like three interesting enough questions about themself you’re set

You people will take a picture of a man reading a book in public without his consent to imagine he’s being “performative” with all your little Internet friends instead of reading a book. Get real.

I’m not even being a stinker here. Even if no one pirated books AND writers got paid fairly it’d still be nearly impossible to make a decent living as an author (not to mention a poet), because no one is reading. Get off the Internet, read a book, and then read another.
