especially coming after mann served as executive producer to ford vs ferrari to make a film that is an outright rejection of everything that film says about cars and the people who design and race them

i was really really impressed by it. maybe less as a character study or biopic but i loved how it took the racing movie idea of cars as symbols of masculinity and national pride and portrayed them as machines of tremendous violence
