Artomyces pyxidatus, the Crown-tipped Coral or Candelabra Coral fungus, was not seen in the UK over the entire 20th century, its last record in 1886 until a spate of recent findings around 2022, which is when I found this specimen (in East Kent). Where did it disappear all this time?

We cannot be collectively "immune" to a virus that sometimes causes harm to the immune system in ways that look similar to HIV.
I do think calling COVID "airborne aids" is a few steps too far for multiple reasons. But there are some concerning similarities:

Got COVID. I mask 90% of the time in public but I guess I got unlucky. Anyway wear a mask for fucks sake, please. The pandemic never ended, people are still getting sick and this can cause long-term health issues. Which I'm now deeply worried I could get.
