Yes. I was thinking it had a sense of place but I'm Australian and never been to Oxford so I assumed that - a uni with those too familiar corridors and a few streets around it - was what it's like. But Herron writes place outside the cliches. Should've opened up the street shots with more humanity.

On another note, there was a brief time from about 1999-2004 when some of us would make burn CDs to be played on CD players that could play mp3s. Instead of a mix of songs, it would be a mix of albums. I still have a bunch of them. We’d call them burns.
