Gov Hochul should VETO the bill that carves out Co-op City from bus lane enforcement.

It slows buses and worsens pollution. The state Legislature should not be getting involved in local transit decisions.

What a lede on this story: Man who complained about narrowing a road in order to protect pedestrians, so much that the city eventually reversed the change, then kills a woman on that very road with his car www.washingtonpost.com/business/int...
America’s plan to protect pedestrians failed. A young woman’s death reveals why.
U.S. officials adopted Europe's Vision Zero initiative, but many cities have seen an increase in pedestrian fatalities despite efforts to improve road safety.

"Listen– Marx's theory of surplus value is just as relevant as ever. The bourgeoisie wants you to think that exploitation happens in the marketplace. This is an illusion meant to shield them from class struggle."

I'm trying to kick the habit of endlessly watching youtube instead of idk reading, so I'm implementing somerules. I can only watch/listen if I am:
- cleaning
- doing rote/admin tasks
- doing hair/makeup

no vegging on sofa. i do enjoy YT so maybe i'll spend more time on my appearance, too.

Zohran keeping Tisch on as NYPD commissioner & saying Jeffries should be Speaker are 2 disgusting moves. it’s okay to call it what it is. you’re not throwing the baby out with the bath water. calling it out even if you think he’s making a “political move” is necessary, especially if you support him

"Thus it is not at all accidental that our...Proudhonist occupies himself chiefly with the housing question, which, as we have seen, is by no means exclusively a working class question; and that, on the contrary, he declares it to be a[n] exclusively working class question.

My biggest motivator to being a red plenty/abundance Stalinism person on housing is that destroying single family homes in favor of commieblocks and transit rich walkable communities is eradicating the rentier class and their hitlerite particles.
