This is a lovely rock/pop memoir. Debsey Wykes has the same knack for writing as Dolly Mixture had for 60s-girl-group-referencing harmony, and the stories of the late 70s scene I was a frustrating couple of years too young to experience are fascinating.

I haven’t read Beautiful World Where Are You. Partly because of indifferent reviews, but mainly because it puts the theme to this on loop in my brain.

This is exactly what I would say if I were in a sexist boys club. Also, I’m not interested in an allegedly left-wing movement which uses the phrase “identity politics” as an insult.
