The good thing about centre left split is its discreet.

Labour take tradition working class areas, LibDems take southern remainy soft tory seats and Greens take proseprous uni towns.

Reform & Tories need to work a deal out otherwise Reform could easily get most votes but end up without a majority.

Disagree.

Reform's already taken over Tories (either its votes or intellectually) but without a deal theres v strong possibility the 40% who vote for either party will fail to get a majority together. While Tories need to ensure this election is not a complete collapse.

Deal makes sense for both.

I'm embarrassed for the journalist who delivered this absolute nonsense to get their Murdoch shilling.

This debate is weird.
You can *chip* away at Russia but cant defeat a state like Russia that has nuclear weapons unless you want to use nuclear weapons.

We can back Ukraine, but an outright *proper* war with Russia will ultimately mean a nuclear exchange.
I suspect your children have grasped this.

I wonder what Fran Merida thinks of all this...

As after his retirement he has more time on his hands you should bring him over for a evening or celebration if you win...

I know some will recoil at this, but its amazing that such young people with no real work experience end up as national figures in a country as large/complex as UK.
She essentially left uni, worked a bit on Labour campaigns & Labour party & then 4 years out of uni got selected for a safe seat at 25.

Throw money at an action film and any film student could make a half decent action film.

...but if the jokes are flat it doesnt matter if the premise, stars or budget are great a RomCom will tank.

Thats why few RomCom films are made today but hundreds of mid budget forgettable action films are.

Comedians who
Swear alot
Repeat questions loudly
Ask rhetorical questions as part of the set up
Use funny voices which aren't part of the set up

are trying to convince you to laugh too much.
Much of this died out in 90s.
Ruby's comedy hasnt moved on in 20yrs.
Its also why Ben Elton gave up standup.

Neither.
It belonged & encapsulated the specific time period 1995-2001.

A very short era in time.
Capitalism/globalisation/youth comedy won, internet were great & liberating, Europe unifying.

5-6 short years it was "West dreaming".
Post 2001 it started going to sh*t but for a few years it was fun.

Dont forget "middle Gabi" - Oft forgotten Saliba's middle name is Gabriel.
Resurrected Gaby - Jesus Gabriel
Assistant manager - Gabi Heinze.

Rookie error.

Spurs play Newcastle away Tuesday.
Much more fun to be had at that fixture historically,

Ross I totally get why Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead isnt everyone's cup of tea, but I still remember evening almost a decade ago I saw Travesties with Tom Hollander.
A fun, totally accessible joy from start to finish.

Stoppard is worth giving a chance..

Best Christmas/New year I ever had was a holiday in Thailand 23 Dec - 3rd Jan.

The cost of holiday covered enough Christmas diners that you could get thru. And then when you were bored with Christmas we all went to the beach & ate Thai food instead.
No spending 100quid a head for Xmass dinners/NYE.

Also worth noting that while Arsenal have played both City and Chelsea...

...Chelsea & Man City have not faced each other yet.
A lot more points to be won & lost yet.

Given that Spurs face Newcastle away on Tuesday and Notts Forest next game is Wolves...

...does that now make the Forest Tottenham game on 14th December:

"A relegation 6 pointer"
November 30, 2025 at 7:54 PM
Chelsea deserved the point.

Clearly Chelsea were the hardest game we have faced this season.
Makes me feel that title could be Arsenal v Chelsea.

Having said that 15 of Chelsea's 24 points have come from beating 5 of the bottom 6 and theyve yet to pay City so maybe they had it easier so far.

Had a german girlfriend 15 years ago who liked to take me to these places. I always insisted on "female friendly ones" (they tend to be shinier, not seedy, with quality drinks & women came with partners or groups).

It was OK but it never did much for me altho it felt a bit glamorous I suppose.

I was wrong and @arseblog.com was right!

....still a big call by Arteta to bring MLS on now.
