Last gig of the week- Industry ( Berlin) in Bristol. I like his band, though slightly staggered that they are influenced by Exit-Stance who were pretty obscure even back in the pretty obscure world of 80s anarcho- punk. Been a good week.

Found myself at a loose end last night so went to see Wiccans and Traumatizer in a tiny basement in Bristol. Traumatizer were particularly pulverizing. Next up Industry on Saturday.

Thoroughly enjoyed The Saints 73-78 in Bristol last night. I'd forgotten how many great songs they had, highlight was a storming run through of Know Your Product with full brass section. Glad I finally made my mind up to go.

From the same tour, Portsmouth Guildhall, the photogenic qualities are lost in the murk.

Rainy day sorting out my messy record collection, seems I have a taller collection of Nomeansno than Cardiacs. Though, had I remembered to add my copy of LSD would have been a Cardiacs victory as it's about a foot thick.

Fantastic weekend in Belgium following Dead Bob around for a couple of gigs, great mix of their stuff and a few Nomeansno classics. Great to see John Wright drumming again.

Androids of Mu- Blood Robots. I've seen some Here and Now mentioned in this thread, these were a sister band. Was obscure but may have got a reissue recently.

Found myself unexpectedly emotional watching Geraint Thomas on his last stage of his career in Cardiff today. Glad I managed to get to the Tumble to see him yesterday.

Started with Starlord, then 2000AD when they merged So, Strontium Dog/Johnny Alpha, if that counts.

I got the cheapo reissues during the 80s boom in iffy licensing/ bootlegging

I may fetishize Belgian beers a bit too much, the glasses, the bottles etc...but needs must. A couple of tins of Leffe have turned round a cheap wine hangover like nobody's business. Why don't we have these at home?

And the benefits of being somewhere with lots of German people, Paulaner on draft at the bar. Could get used to this.

Oh well, this has just turned up, so that will make up for it. Chronically underestimated a micro dose of mushrooms the other week and was struck by how flat the original was compared to Singapore to God. Looking forward to seeing what the remaster brings.

Well I'm stretching and I've never heard these particular versions, but yes....you've got me on Cecil Sharp House though

Just picked up one of my grails in a canal side record stall at The Barge Inn Preset after a nice walk

Hitting the hardcore punk shops in Koenji, Tokyo and ended up buying a single from my friend's band I loved with on site in our new age traveller days....small world etc

Just stood on the rake and clocked myself on the back of the head just like in the Beano. I can't find the words to say how happy it's made me.

Brilliant gig last night at Rockaway Park with The Mob, Interrobang? and Bad Breeding. So good to see The Mob again.

Gnod/White Hills in Bristol last night, fantastic, so much heavier than the record. I'm in awe of God's pedal that delivers a wall of clean sustain/ drone/distortion, absolute treat when deployed. Listened to In Search of Space on the way home which seemed fitting.

#nowplaying, Sometimes I almost forget how great Nomeansno are.
