I just shared the physical coding section from @codeorg.bsky.social with the Early Childhood teachers here at Bandung Independent School. I'm excited to hear how they utilize it to develop STEM skills in children ages 4-6!

During Mini Lessons I'll show my screen and input a students writing, then ask what the student wants help with, and prompt AI to coach me through it as a third grade student. Here is a video from my #Tech(ish)Tuesday newsletter on the topic.

That's a really good question, @stayplayingnick.com as a third grade homeroom teacher, at this point I'm modeling healthy AI behavior during mini lessons and conferencing to help my students analyze their writing. Hoping that when they get to MS/HS they'll have the tools to use it ethically.

Not a new tool, but I recently started encouraging my G3 writers to ask ChatGPT for writing feedback (with my or my Teaching Assistant's supervision). The feedback they've received so far has been very good and the students enjoy learning to interact with AI responsibly.
